The result of this effort was a collection of pop synth-based dance tracks that has produced two hit singles in the U.S. and other countries, “Poker Face” and “Just Dance”.

Gaga appeared semi-nude on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine for their May 2009 issue for the annual Hot List wearing plastic bubbles only. In June 2009, she revealed plans of touring with Kanye West. She performed at the 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards and won the Best International Artist Video award for the music video to "Poker Face".
